Wired

WOW. The Internet is changing. The broadcast and professional video area is changing. Wired is changing…..and so is our website!! We’ve watched the explosive growth of blogs on the web, and wondered if we couldn’t use some of these dynamic publishing tools to make the Wired site more useful. We’ve learned over the years that most people prefer less flashy graphics and more up-to-date information and feedback, and felt that the blog format might be ideal. So here we go.

Starting today we’ve switched the Wired site over to running on the WordPress* publishing software. Instead of the old systems for web publishing, which required the involvement of a web professional for even minor updates, we can now update the site whenever a bit of new information is available. We can deliver much more information, much faster than ever before.

Finding Your Way

Of course you can still navigate the site in familiar ways, but the dynamic nature of the new layout makes it much easier to find exactly what you’re looking for (at least that’s our goal).

• Use the SEARCH box on the right to find articles and posts.
• Go to CATEGORIES on the right to find posts about particular areas of interest.

*If you’re wondering why we chose WordPress instead of one of the other blog tools, it came down to familiarity. I use WordPress on my personal blog, and find it to be very powerful and flexible. Plus, I’ve spent a bunch of time learning to customize it, so it seemed like a good choice.
