NAB 2008
This year both Apple and Avid, two very large multimedia companies, have decided to pull out of the NAB 2008 tradeshow in Las Vegas. They site the diminishing relevance of tradeshows as viable sales producers.
Because NAB 2008 will now be a very different environment for us and many other multimedia companies, we have decided to also not attend the tradeshow. We are sorry if you expected to meet up with our staff at the show, but we find we can more effectively perform personal demos and send out rental/test units for potential customers instead of standing around a booth at NAB. This is a much more targeted and personal approach, which makes our customers, and our potential customers, very happy.

We are proud to announce that the Mason IP decoder is now in production, and will be shipping later this month to those who pre-ordered.
Wired is demonstrating the new MasonIP DVD player/verifier at NAB 2007 in Las Vegas. We are in suite #360 at the Las Vegas Hilton (with Sigma Designs). We’ll have a typical DVD authoring setup, utilizing MasonIP as a network based DVD player/verifier. We’d love to have you stop by to see the MasonIP in action. Boy it’s been a busy year so far! We are heading down the home stretch now with the MasonIP decoder and most of our time is now spent getting all the pieces together for the product launch. What amazes me is the amount of documentation that the MasonIP requires. Not that I’m saying you customers out there need so much help, but because MasonIP is bridging the gap between Video Decoding and IP Networks, we find that so much data is missing from one industry compared to the other.
Just like the Wired website, the professional video area is going through a massive change. It has just started and will continue to evolve for years to come. What am I talking about? I am talking about the change-over, or adoption, of network accessible video.
